It's April already!!! In Japan that means one thing, Sakura, or Cherry Blossoms if you prefer.
From next week onwards millions of Japanese will take to their local parks and garden, keitai (mobile phones) in hand to snap photos of the pinky white blooms before they fall fleetingly to the ground, reminiscent of the fleetingly short but beautiful lives of Samurai. The youngest/newest office members in Tokyo will be heading out in the bitter cold to stake a blue tar-pollen claim under the biggest tree and wait patiently for hours (possibly overnight) for the rest of the office to finish work and join them for the annual cherry blossom viewing parties where sake flows late into the night as the trees are lit up to add a funky new laser show twist to their beauty.
In honour of this I have put together a wee selection of Sakura inspired hats, enjoy.
